The Manufactory

How it all started

Volker Bohlmeier and Rolf Weiler who met in Bochum (Germany) sometime in the late 1980’s, are drawn together by an idea and lifetime realization: providing music playback in the most authentic and highest level of fidelity possible, suspending the distance between the listener and music. Thus, the two specialists created a unique audio component system that is now loved and appreciated by the HiFi elite around the world under the name EINSTEIN, representing the highest demands in terms of sound and engineering level. The EINSTEIN vision of stereo technology was born. After three years of development, EINSTEIN presented a new standard in the audio world with ”The Amp” amplifier in 1990.

THE PUREST SOUND

All EINSTEIN products are characterized by an unusual sense of playfulness. They are extremely dynamic with perfect timing, accurately reproduce the recording spaces, and operate without any tonal coloration. All EINSTEIN developments are one hundred percent proprietary developments with equally simple and elegant (simply ingenious) solutions that command respect and admiration from true connoisseurs and insiders of the scene. In keeping with the spirit of the great physicist.

Simplicity and elegance

The simplicity and elegance of the products are also reflected in their puristic and noble exterior design. People from all over the world with various aesthetic preferences are excited about the visual appearance of the devices, which have been awarded numerous design prizes. This is the responsibility of the qualified interior designer Annette Heiss. She and her husband Volker Bohlmeier, the owner and driving force of the EINSTEIN Manufaktur, lead the fortunes of the small but exquisite company.

PRINCIPLE

It is a principle of the EINSTEIN team to immediately incorporate new insights and improvements into ongoing production. This ensures constructive, honest, and customer-oriented development by the Bochum-based company. No EINSTEIN product leaves the factory until it has the best possible sound characteristics. Each device is manufactured as a unique piece and checked with competence and care. The purity of the sound image determines the straightforward construction of the components down to the smallest individual part. These uncompromising quality requirements are the benchmark for all EINSTEIN products. They meet the high demand of conveying music as a complex entity and creating HiFi devices that each enter the HiFi market as innovations and authorities.

THE VALUE OF A CLASSIC

Thanks to their uncompromising focus on quality and innovation, every EINSTEIN component has the potential to become a classic and maintain exceptional value if well cared for and maintained.

THE EXPERIENCE: MUSIC

Only when a development exhibits the typical EINSTEIN sound qualities, when goosebumps arise, do the employees at EINSTEIN know that they are very close to their lofty goal. When the music becomes as tangible as at a live concert, when the listener immerses himself in a different world, then they have done everything right.

BY MILES AHEAD

EINSTEIN’s sound is often praised by experts for its refreshing departure from the mainstream. Some listeners may find the sound shockingly different and elusive. During the CES trade show in Las Vegas, two test editors exclaimed, ”By miles ahead!” when they heard the EINSTEIN components. ”You’ve got one big problem, people won’t realize how far you have already gone!” The enthusiasm of the international press and the inclusion in the best-of lists in the high-end audio world consistently proves EINSTEIN Audio Components right. The Bochum-based manufactory has become synonymous with the highest sound quality and aesthetics.

PHILOSOPHY

THE BEAUTY OF MUSIC

For those who appreciate the finer things in life, music is often a beloved companion. For those who truly savor all of life’s sensory experiences, music is essential. It allows us to escape into another world, leaving behind the worries of our everyday life and opening ourselves up to new pleasures. Music has the power to uplift, comfort, inspire, and seduce us. It affects our emotions more than any other form of art or entertainment. Across cultures, music is a vital aspect of our shared human experience and an important cultural heritage. Thanks to technological advances, we can now enjoy the experience of live music performance from the comfort of our own homes, reproducing the magic of the concert hall through high-quality audio equipment. And for those who truly value this experience, there is EINSTEIN.

MEDIATION OF UNIQUE MOMENTS

At EINSTEIN, developers prioritize achieving a realistic reproduction and creating an unparalleled sonic experience. The ultimate goal of every EINSTEIN component is to accurately convey the musical experience from the concert hall or recording studio with utmost precision. They possess the ability to recreate the original size and acoustics of the space, precisely render the most intricate frequencies, and maintain the authentic timbre of each voice and instrument without any tonal distortion. The EINSTEIN components achieve all of this by seeming effortlessness, exuding a seductive elegance in their performance. The highs are light and airy, the bass is tight, fast, and deep black. Nothing is depicted smaller or larger and every musician is exactly in the right place. The components are capable of bringing out even the finest differences in the tonality and dynamics of individual instruments or voices, allowing the listener to delve even deeper into the music.

THAT CERTAIN SOMETHING

In addition, all EINSTEIN devices have a special something that clearly sets them apart from all other devices. A customer described it as ”magical” during a demonstration. This sound sets new standards of its own. Once you have heard the EINSTEIN devices in a well-constructed complete EINSTEIN chain with good speakers, you will never forget them.
